Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a professional driver-guide will receive you and provide a warm Ugandan welcome.

A short briefing ensures you are fully prepared for your adventure before leaving the city.

You are offered time to exchange currency, purchase local sim cards and pick up any last-minute necessities.

The journey to Lake Mburo National Park offers scenic countryside views with rolling hills, long-horned cattle, and vibrant rural life.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge and later enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as wildlife freely grazes around the lodge area.

Dinner will be served as you prepare for the adventures of the following day.

Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo

Your morning begins with a sunrise game drive through the open savannah plains of Lake Mburo National Park.

The early hours maximize your chances of spotting predators and grazing wildlife.

Expect sightings of zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, buffalo and numerous bird species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for a refreshing breakfast and relaxation.

In the afternoon, set off for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds are regularly seen.

The tranquil setting creates a perfect photography moment as wildlife gathers at the water’s edge. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi via Lake Bunyonyi + Boat Cruise

After breakfast, leave Lake Mburo behind and enjoy a scenic drive toward southwestern Uganda, passing through vast farmlands and beautiful rolling highlands.

Before reaching Bwindi, stop at Lake Bunyonyi for an exciting boat cruise across its deep, calm waters.

The lake features 29 unique islands each with historical stories.

You will visit the famous Punishment Island and Leprosy Island, learning about the lake’s cultural significance.

After this memorable excursion, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

The day you have anticipated most is finally here! After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing.

A trained ranger guide will lead you through the dense forest as you track a habituated gorilla family.

Along the way, you may encounter colourful forest birds, butterflies, antelopes, and playful monkeys.

Once the gorillas are located, you are granted one full hour to observe them closely as they feed, groom, and interact.

This unforgettable wildlife experience is one of the most emotional and rewarding adventures in Africa.

After trekking, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. You may choose to visit a nearby Batwa community in the evening.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP + Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive through the scenic Kanungu highlands into the Ishasha sector famous for its rare tree-climbing lions.

Keep your camera ready as these majestic predators are often seen resting on fig tree branches.

Continue to your lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading for a remarkable boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

Today you will embark on an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Kibale Forest.

After briefing, venture into the forest accompanied by an experienced ranger guide.

Chimpanzees share 98% of our DNA and are highly intelligent and lively making this encounter incredibly fun and educational.

Observe them as they feed, communicate, and swing through the trees. After trekking, return to the lodge to freshen up and then start your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe.

Enjoy a lunch stop en-route and arrive in the evening. Your safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or airport for your flight home.
