You start with a comfortable airport or hotel pick-up and transfer northwards to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a fully guided rhino tracking activity.

This experience is safe, well-managed and gives you a close-up encounter with Uganda’s only wild rhinos.

After the trek, you continue to Murchison Falls National Park, check into a luxury lodge, and relax for the evening with views of the Nile.

Day two is your full wildlife day and includes an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park.

This area offers some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Uganda, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and many birds.

After lunch, you take a boat cruise on the Nile toward the base of the falls.

This river section is famous for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and spectacular birdlife, making it one of Uganda’s best wildlife boat trips.

The boat stops near the base of the falls, allowing you to see the powerful water flow up close. You then hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views.

Day three gives you the option for a short nature walk or a final game drive before returning to Kampala or Entebbe.

Arrival in Uganda

We pick you up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. Pre-safari accommodation can be arranged at an extra cost.

Your guide will brief you about the trip and confirm departure time for the next morning.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP & Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary

Your day begins early with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport.

You start your journey northwards toward Murchison Falls National Park, a drive of about five hours.

Along the way, you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the only place in Uganda where rhino tracking is possible.

On arrival, you meet a professional ranger who will guide you during the trek.

Rhino tracking takes place on foot and rangers maintain a safe distance while allowing excellent viewing and photography.

During the trek, you may also see waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, monkeys, and several bird species.

The experience lasts one to two hours depending on rhino movement.

After tracking, you have lunch and then continue toward Murchison Falls National Park.

Once inside the park, you proceed to Safari Lodge, situated near the Nile River.

The lodge offers comfortable rooms and excellent views of the river and surrounding landscape.

You check in, relax, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the park. Dinner is served in the lodge’s restaurant and you spend the night here.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Nile Boat Cruise & Top of the Falls Hike

You begin the day with an early breakfast at 6:30 am. At 7:00 am, your guide picks you up for a morning game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park.

This area is rich in wildlife and early hours offer the best viewing opportunities.

Expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, hyenas, warthogs and many birds.

The landscape consists of open savanna, woodland and riverine areas, creating a perfect environment for wildlife photography.

The game drive lasts three to four hours depending on sightings. You return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you prepare for a Nile boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. This cruise is one of the highlights of the park.

The riverbanks are full of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a wide range of birds including kingfishers, bee-eaters, African fish eagles, and sometimes the rare shoebill stork.

The trip ends at the base of the falls where the Nile forces itself through a narrow 7-meter gorge, creating one of the most powerful water flows on earth.

From the base, you take a guided hike to the top of the falls. The hike is moderate and provides outstanding views of the river as it crashes through the rocks.

At the top, you feel the power of the falls and enjoy photo opportunities.

After the hike, your guide picks you up and drives you back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Optional Nature Walk or Final Game Drive & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you may choose between a guided nature walk or a short morning game drive.

The nature walk offers a peaceful way to explore the environment, spot smaller animals and enjoy birdwatching.

Alternatively, the game drive offers another chance to find wildlife you may have missed earlier.

After the activity, you return to the lodge, check out, and begin your drive back to Kampala or Entebbe.

You arrive in the afternoon and are dropped off at your hotel or directly at the airport for your onward flight.
